The review of activities is held in the field of dynamical scattering of X-rays in heteroepitaxial and acoustic superlattices. The main approaches to the description of dynamical diffraction in metallic and semiconducting superlattices are reviewed. The special attention is given to a formalism of zones of the steady and unstable solutions of a set of Takagi equations for superlattices. The given formalism is based on methods of the qualitative theory of differential equations. The general qualitative approaches to the analysis of salient features of diffraction in superlattices of different models are explained; they are based on the concept of unified parametrization of the characteristics of a superlattice and wave field. The formalism of the zonal diagrams has allowed to categorize parameters of the theory of dynamic diffraction in superlattices on ‘external’ and ‘internal’ parameters. The advanced formalism allows to determine the structural characteristics of a superlattice by the form of diffraction-reflection curve.
Keywords: X-ray dynamical scattering, diffraction reflection, heteroepitaxial and acoustic superlattices.
