The influence of exposure on the magnetic susceptibility of zinc, silicon, and gallium arsenide crystals as well as on the spectral distribution of GaAs and Si photoconduction in electrical or magnetic fields is investigated. In the all cases, initially diamagnetic samples are shown to change their magnetic properties essentially after mechanical processing, and additional impurity maximums are appeared in the GaAs photoelectric spectrum. Continuous exposure of such crystals in magnetic or electrical fields results in restitution of their diamagnetic properties, and in the GaAs case, it causes disappearance of impurity-photocurrent maximums.
Keywords: diamagnetic, magnetic susceptibility, impurity photocurrent, exposure in electric and magnetic fields.
